Bulgaria icons and their wonder-working power

The art of iconography serves to confirm religious cognition, the wonder of the touch to the Divine. The icon is related to the idea of the Beauty of Eternity and the transiency of all the ephemeral; it is related to the perfection of the Cosmic Order; it defends the idea of the harmony between Man, Nature and Cosmos. This is its basic and most important message to the Present and to the Future. We can state, along this vein, that the icon keeps on confirming in ourselves the idea that the Good triumphs over the Evil, the Harmony over the Chaos, the Eternity over the Death and above all, the Wonder of Salvation.
